Frascati

Frascati is famous for Tusculum Villas: built by the papal nobility since the sixteenth century, they were a "status symbol" of the Roman aristocracy and were intended for representation activities and the summer residence of the papal court. The villas Tusculum, from the initial "country house" surrounded by farmland and woods, became veritable palaces, castles, fruit of the most talented architects and artists of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

Currently the villas are in good structural condition, although in many cases suffered damage during the Second World War.
